The High-Speed Train

The route extends from Ain Sokhna to October Gardens, then branches south to Al Ayatt to connect with the second line, and branches north to Alexandria, Alamein, and Marsa Matrouh, with a total length of about 675 km and 21 stations (13 high-speed train stations, 8 regional stations). The project will be implemented within 24 months, with a design speed of 250 km/h. The operational speed for electric high-speed trains is 230 km/h, for electric regional trains is 160 km/h, and for electric freight locomotives is 120 km/h.
