Feldspar
  • Feldspar is the name given to a group of minerals characterized by the presence of alumina and silicon dioxide in their chemical composition. This group includes aluminum silicates with soda, potassium, or calcium. It is one of the most abundant mineral groups on Earth.

  • They constitute a vital part of numerous volcanic rocks, which form the basis of the Earth's solid crust. Due to their abundance, feldspars are used in classifying volcanic rocks.

  • Feldspars are also found in many types of sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, and they are one of the most important components of the Earth's crust mineral composition. In addition to being used as a raw material in glass and ceramic industries, feldspar is also used as fillers and extenders in applications such as paints, plastics, and rubber due to its chemical resistance and hardness.
